By leaching high silica glass fibre, a new generation of high thermal resistance materials is created. Until quite recently these materials were used only in aircraft and aerospace industries, but now they are used in various branches of industry, where heat resistant (up to 1000°C) materials are required. High silica glass fibre materials are an excellent alternative to asbestos. The materials have low thermal conductivity, are inert to the majority of chemical reagents, resistant to organic and mineral acids (except hydrofluoric and phosphoric), weak alkali, water and high-pressure steam.
We offer high silica needled mats KF.
Their outstandingly low heat conductivity, high electrical insulation properties at elevated temperature make them ideal for such applications.
Silica mats maintain their excellent properties after long exposure to temperatures as high as 1000°C, and short-time exposure up to 1300°C.
